We came to Salen for skiing in Klappen. The location was great for this. It is 5-10 min. away. And there were trails closeby for country skiing. There is also a place nearby for renting the skiing equipment which is way cheaper rather than renting them from the ski resort. The place is very cozy, the rooms are warm. Also Göran was a very welcoming and hospitable host. It was great talking to you and learning about the area. It was a pleasent stay. :)

50 km before Sälen our car had a flat tyre due to the sharp stones on the gravel road from the Nationalpark Fulufjället. Hans, the very friendly and helpful host, called us, when we'll arrive. As it was not possible to get a roadside service, he sent his grandson to collect us from the road, supported us in getting the car repaired again and cooked us a meal in the evening.

Beautifull and cosy appartment in typicall swedish style with everything, what you need for a week stay (equipped kitchen, bathroom, sitting area, bedrooms). As we have been walking a lot and the ground has been wet, we have appreciated dryer for shoes and clothes in the appartment. Big parking lot in front of the hotel. Great communication. Helpfull staff. Nice and quiet location.

The apartment was very cosy, clean and it had almost everything that we needed. It was very close to the mountains for skiing. The host was very friendly and nice person. I had a very good experience and the value per price was unbeatable. Overall, I highly recommend this place.
