We’ve been to Bac Ha before and this was just a stop through visit so picked our accommodation based on reviews. Personally we didn’t find enough value to say this was 5 star, the room was comfortable and family were pleasant but for 500k VND we’ve had better value. The Homestay is located right near the centre of town overlooking the river which was sparse with water. We chose one of the self contained rooms which had a private bathroom. It had a fan, comfy mattress and complimentary tea and water. No air con, fridge or coffee but we found the room cool enough and purchased drinks at the Homestay or in town. A pleasant breakfast included either the room. You can choose from about 4 or 5 items (Pho, Omlete, fried eggs, Noodles), accompanied by tea or coffee (we chose drip coffee) and fresh fruit.
