It was generously appointed, spotlessly clean and the location could not have been better. I liked that it had character and there was an excellent restaurant downstairs. The breakfast was generous and the staff were incredibly friendly.

Surrounded by vineyards, this 3-star hotel is located just 650 metres from the banks of the Moselle River. It features a garden terrace, as well as rooms and apartments with free Wi-Fi. We had an amazing time at Weingut Gehlen-Cornelius. It exceeded our expectations in terms of the room, breakfast, vineyard and wine. We could not have asked for a better stay and will be coming back!

Breakfast was sooo good and there was lots of food options, staff is so friendly and helpful all the time! And the view - there is no enough words to describe how beautiful it is!!! The General Manager Marie was very helpful and accommodating. She phoned us earlier in the day to confirm our ETA and was waiting for us. The price was very good and the continental breakfast superb with very friendly waiting staff. The dining area is so pretty and the rooms clean. The village of Manderen is beautiful with the chateaux looming above it and we loved the church bells tolling regularly!

Boasting a fitness centre, shared lounge, terrace and free WiFi, Strandhaus an der Mosel is set in Valwig, 4.8 km from Cochem Castle and 33 km from Castle Eltz. This hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. Everywhere smells really nice. The hosts are the most lovely and helpful people. They were always thoughtful about our needs but never invasive. It's suprisingly big since It's a redone house. You get your own key and can come and go as you like. There are about 25 rooms with a shared lounge where you can grab snacks and drinks and just write what you took on a bit of paper. There is no fridge or coffeemaker in the room itself, but we didn't miss it. The shared coffee maker is excellent and prices are cheap. Nearby are at least two good restaurants (next door and Frisch Fritz) at walking distance. Plenty of free parking around. It's the perfect location to visit everything in the area. Breakfast is fabulous and from 8.30 till 10. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!
